so the RGB fusion thing (that looks like its 30 years old) seems to only control the lighting on my graphicsn card but the motherboard lights will not respond at all. Any idea how to make it start working?

ta, went inte bios on a restart and set it to colour cycle so not sure which is making it do that, but...... now the graphics card is stuck on blue and wont respond but the RGB fusion seems to think the only periferal i have is ram. which isnt colour changing. any ideas?

Another alternative is to use the Aorus Graphics Engine from the GPU download page, which can also control the RGB lighting on both the GPU and motherboard, it's what I used on my K7 and Aorus 1080 Ti for a bit. I had issues with RGB Fusion so that was why I tried the GPU software instead.

Also, what BIOS version are you on? I think I remember seeing about lighting control issues on the latest F20, I'll see if I can find it again.

EDIT: Found it, but seems there's more than one thread but you can find them easily: http://forum.gigabyte.us/board/37/am4

Working fine on my F20 Bios, Got the Akasa VEGAS 50cm Strip 4 pin "12V R G B " plugged into the Socket near the CPU RGB Fusion Version B17.0919.1

It might take a while and a few restarts for it to pop up, bit frustrating but I had a similar issue with RGB Fusion where it just fails to start up so I had to kill it in task manager.

That and they used a fair bit of background process, so once I finished setting my colours I uninstalled them.

I have to say that the RGB fusion is terrible. if I change mine on the fly nothing happens, do a reboot and it decides it wants to change, so when I want to change it back I have to do the same again. It is really bad and trying to change my RGB strip in my case is a nightmare. Whoever designed it wants shooting.

yep not to mention it looks like it belongs on geocities

I had an X58 Gigabyte board for a few years and it never let me down and it is still going strong in a mates system, they seem to make good stuff, just the software is a little poo. Lol.
