'Poacher hunting big cats' mauled to death by lions in South Africa

You people are celebrating and cheering over a death over an other human being, who likely had a family and kids and died in likely a terrible horrible way.

You people are sick in the head, terrible human beings and should be ashamed of yourselves. You all disgust me, you are honestly no different then the mob mentality of savages who strip naked, throw rocks and stones at people who they think are witches or have done some sort of blasphemy. I would not be surprised to find the likes of you in a

The margin of difference between you and those in ISIL are becoming blurred.

ok then.....

This is one of the times where humanity shouldn't be top of the animal kingdom. Selling parts of endangered animals for their own profit......... and you think because a human is above everything else that they should suffer for someones greed. Theres a small number of people on this planet that dont deserve the air - ISIL included

I agree with you, but the difference between me and the others who posted so far is that I'm not going to gloat over this persons death, cheer and laugh about it.

But I say this regarding the poacher, karma is a thing, you mess with something too much and it's going to bite you back.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. As I said in my OP I hope that the media use this as an opportunity to highlight the risks and deter others from doing it.

Hopefully he was alive long enough while being eaten, maximum pain. No i don't care about him, his feelings or his family.

Because being in a situation where you could get eaten by lions whilst carrying a hunting rifle is really only "suspected"?
Hope he felt every single bite and claw.

^^^^ this to be honest.
In fact i would like the authorities to post up full pics of the remains of the poacher. We are shown the remains of what poachers do on an ongoing basis...................................................let's start seeing what Lions, Tigers or any other animal would do to them.

You are right, but you are too emotional about it..

I mean perhaps he was a poor man, and the only way to feed his family is to try to poach, but he hesitated and couldn't pull the trigger, the lion got him, now dead, his first child has died from hunger, along with his mother, now his 2nd child sits there crying alone, will be dead shortly.

Lol Iron Warrior go back to your anime pron please ;).

This made my day hearing about this, another idiot taken out of the gene pool. Hope he felt pain beyond all belief.

Do you know what, we have been fed this sort of rubbish since at least the 1960's to my knowledge. Most of Africa, Asia and beyond is not living in the dark ages now. If peeps are poor and hungry it's because they are just lazy and can't be arsed to look for paid proper work.
As far as i'm concerned, in this day and age if they want to poach endangered species they should be shot on site..........................no questions and no answers.

I don't agree with hunting these animals, but I wouldn't wish death upon anyone for doing so. Nor would I celebrate a persons death, if only because innocent people usually end up dealing with the fallout.

Good riddance to human garbage.

Hurray! If only all poachers could just drop dead without doing any more harm, would be awesome.

Why should we feel sorry for them?

Because they're human? So what? Just another animal, only many times more destructive than any other animal.

We're not all that. Shouldn't ball your eyes out for the loss of humans who are destroying habitat and encroaching on other species, denying them their right to exist.

Too many humans, too few animals... it's about time for some major human die-off. Will be for the best, imho.

It's horrible that cowardly desperate men try and illegally poach beautiful wild animals. it's horrible this man died like this and probably left behind people who loved him and will be grief stricken.
