I upgraded my Fortnite account a while back(because im a bit of a mug) when it was on sale and it entitles me to a free giftable game key which can be gifted directly to another PSN account.

For those that don't know the game is a cooperative 3rd person zombie shooter/tower defence game for up to 4 players. Its mainly mission based, but there is also a persistant fort that you build up and expand in each of the zones as you progress through the missions.

The PvE element is still in early access so the story line is only present in the first few zones but getting past that point requires ~100 hours work so theres plenty to keep a person occupied. Past that point the game continues but the story isnt tied into it.

The core mechanics work quite well, building is very fluent so you can quickly switch between shooting and building or laying traps. I believe the control scheme is more refined in Battle Royale as there are no character abilities but if you have played that you will have a good idea of how well it works.

Just to warn you in advance the game throws quite a lot of stats, menus and skill trees at you but the missions in the first part of the game walk you through all of that. This game is going free to play in the future so the ingame currency can be bought but it can also slowly be earned by playing.

If you're only interested in the PvP side of this game (Battle Royale) then it would be best if you give this a pass as Battle Royale doesn't require a game key and the 2 modes aren't really related in any way.

If i get enough interest in this thread i will pick a random winner tonight @10pm. If not i will announce tomorrow evening. Can you please state your PSN id if you're interested so that i can transfer the game across, otherwise it might add a bit of a delay.

I had a quick search for a youtube video giving an overview of the game and this was the best i could find, if anyone has anything more recent/comprehensive feel free to post it.

Thanks for responding guys, i will let this run on another day so that i can get a few more entries. To anyone else who's interested can you please note your PSN id so I can transfer the game over to you otherwise there might be a bit of a delay.

Ok, thanks for the responses, its been 24 hours so im calling it. Will announce a winner as soon as i've found a random number generator on google.

Edit: I guess i didn't sell it very well but that works to the advantage of the 4 people who did respond.

Anyway.... the lucky number was 2 so the key is yours JoeBoi.

Will send you a friend request. The download isn't massive(~10gb) so it shouldnt take too long to get started.

I will add when i'm next on my PSN is in my sig. I'm currently lv77 in Twine Peaks.

I was thinking of writing a guide for this as there's a lot of things you need to know in the game but there doesn't seem to be that much interest in it on the forums. I can't blame people as although it has a lot of potential, it's a half finished game.

The BR is so much fun never really thought about the PVE version, watched a few videos me and and friend are thinking of buying. Do you know which version gets you keys for a friend? Not very clear on the PSN store.

I can't remember the game edition names but I think the basic edition is called the standard edition. The one up from shoud be called deluxe and the one up from that should be the super deluxe edition. That's the one you want, it should have double the cost of the standard edition

The core gameplay and mechanics are good but it is the same formula throughout the game. There are also a few ongoing bugs present but they are tolerable, the main one lag spike at the start of a new day/on people joining. They label this game early access and they mean it but it doesn't mean its not playable. Im player level 82 now so i've sank a fair few hours into the game and i'm not bored yet but i do like a bit of a grind and this game caters to that.

If you can wait for a sale then that would certainly be for the best as things generally become half price but i cant comment on when that will be. I've actually got the version above that but i waited for the half price sales before i upgraded, i've played the game so much ive certainly got my moneys worth. Having a friend start playing at the same time would be good for the both of you as it gives you someone reliable to team up learn the game with. Theres a seasonal event starting at the end of next week so its not a bad time to start playing as it generally rewards good loot even at the lower levels.

If you do get it im happy to explain the mechanics over voice chat as there is a lot to this game, so much so that the entire first zone is like a tutorial.

Been watching a few more videos it does look like its fun with all the base building, I think i will get it when my friend does its a bit pricey at the moment considering its still early access.

Apparently the game is 50% off for a week or so. Now would be a good time to get it if you don't want to wait for the game to become f2p.
