Expensive as hell but as usual people as missing the point ;).

Yeh of course spend £10 or so on V day but I’d rather save that £10 and use it on a holiday or something else.
 
Aye, we don't do it.

Think we did the first couple in our relationship, it literally is a pointless day. Mind you if others wish to partake then fair game.
 
You don't need a reason to do something but it's a good excuse to. Every holiday/special event is retail garbage so you might as well have fun if you want to.

I'm surprised no big retailer has picked up on Singles Day from china.

I find it hard to believe anyone can not only be that
cheap, but think that they can get away with it.
 
I've put our dream holiday back another year and bought my girlfriend a card, flowers and chocolate. The monthly repayments are steep but she's worth it

I decided that providing we don't eat for 2 days whilst on holiday I can afford some flowers and chocolates - I know I'm boasting but will provide a hovis related picture if require.

What's karma got to do with it? You'd have a point if it was her birthday, but in this instance what you've posted makes no sense :confused:

I've killed 2 birds with 1 stone this year, and booked a surprise holiday for us - the booking confirmation is in her card.
