So the battery needs replacing in our 09 fiesta and ECP have a few to choose from. I presume there is a difference in quality as there is a pretty big difference in price.

Options are:

A Lion one for around £50, an Exide one for around £70, a duracell on for £80 and 3 Bosch ones for £90 to £110.

Is it worth spending the money and getting a Bosch? I have no idea about batteries.

Thanks.

Exide will be perfectly fine. It's hardly a V12 although I've never heard of Lion so can't comment on that one.

You can get them cheaper online. Tanya Batteries is always cheaper for me, and free next day delivery too.

Exide are perfectly fine, if you want to spend more then get Varta from Tanya, exactly the same as the Bosch batteries but cheaper.

Cheers for that, never used Tanya Batteries but they seem well priced. I need a new battery for my 330ci so that website looks ideal.

Bit late, but if you have a Costco card the Bosch batteries are usually pretty cheap there. I picked up an S5 007 for £69 a while back. 5 year warranty too.

See if there's a discount code kicking around for carparts4less - it's the online arm of ECP. I saved about £30 buying the battery from them and getting it delivered the next day...

Poor delivery bloke from UPS nearly got a hernia carrying it down the driveway!

Seems they've swapped to the S4 batteries now, and you can get the S5 equivalent Varta online for cheaper too typically.

I thought everyone knew ECP/CP4L were the DFS of the car parts world. Show me a day they DON'T have a discount available and I'll be shocked :p
