Usb 2.0 header to usb 3.1 gen.1 port

Hello. I own an aorus gaming 7 motherboard.

My case supports 4 usb 3.1 gen 1 ports. Is it possible to connect the usb 2.0 header to them? Thank you.

There are adapters to both way.

In case of connecting USB3 ports of case to USB2 pin header look for this kind adapters:

USB2 header end without pins visible (those are in motherboard connector) and that bigger USB3 connector with pins visible.

Are you sure that this is compatible with the motherboard?
I was thinking about that:

If it has that USB2 end without pins showing in it then it's the right kind adapter.
Assuming they got pin thickness right in USB3 header, because USB3 has thinner pins.
(got one such adapter with erroneous pin thickness)

Adapter meant for connecting USB2 of case to motherboard's USB3 header would have pins sticking out from its USB2 end.
