Spec me - video editing PC

Hey All,

Bit out of the loop these days.

Looking to dabble in video editing and want to mess around with 4K content. Initially wanted a laptop but very expensive for what would be needed. I think hooking a desktop up to my 4K TV would be a better idea.

Budget wise I would prefer under £800.

Any help appreciated.

Not enough cash to have 1TB plus SSD for 4k or high pixel RAW files . Normally would RAID 1 HDD for back ups as files are large and take time to create which costs double to redo .
Ryzen has 1030 to handle monitor , Intel has onboard . As this is budget - far similar and quicker in this case to encode/edit etc etc of GPU . Thread count and IPC are driving factors as well as which program is used to do said work .
Once established can get bigger / faster drives - maybe a scratch drive for any editing of images - not sure if works for videos

Aren't there applications that work with GPU acceleration?
To be honest, when dealing with 4K content, I wouldn't leave the system without a decent graphics card.

I'm got some components I can take from an old build from a few years back.

Got a 120gb ADD
2x 1TB HDD
Case
850w PSU

Could really use those and put additional funds towards a gpu

Never done it before and really looking to understand if this is a passing interest and if not I'll look to spend more.

Recommendations would be appreciated. I'll be really wanting to make my travelling vlogs with my GoPro Hero 5 Nikon D5300 and my Samsung S8 +

Just for hobby purposes and putting memories together
