OcUK HQ Motors Meet - Saturday 3rd March 2018

My pods are sacred.. and by mine, I mean the wife's.

PS.. 4 Nespresso machines :p coffee in various locations in the home then?

1 x Kitchen
1 x Office (and I also have a Siemens Porsche Coffee Filter Machine as well to be double sure)
1 x Main Bedroom
1 x Garage...yes, I have a Nespresso (and a kettle) in my garage.

Gibbo, maybe setup the VR room with seats etc if it is really cold, that way people have a warm, safe, dry area to chill out in.

Looks like the roads may be snowy on the way up, looking at the forecast so far.

Still plan on coming....... :p

The roads up my way are white but its remaining powdery so grip has being absolutely fine.

I think because it dry and windy its not compacting and on most roads its just blowing away lol, considering I have Summer tyres and it was -6c with snow dotted around I had a surprising amount of grip as I do of course try to promote sideways action on snow covered roads and a few times it just gripped and accelerated. :D

I was just looking at the forecast and it says heavy snow all Friday night and all day Saturday, then realised I had it on my home postcode, OcUK postcode is forecasting light snow Friday night and no snow Saturday. :)

Jag is fine in snow, the M3 might have to take a back seat on this meet though, we shall see, still hope to get it there. :)

Scoobydoo69 can tow everybody to the meet in his AWD beast

Haha I remember when I was towing people out the works car park using the EVO that year, AWD, Winter tyres damn that car was incredible in snow and huge fun doing 60-70mph down the white cover back roads, epic car, just those conditions are so rare, but owning that I totally loved seeing the tops white over. :D

I have a pair of winter tyres I could put on the front wheels if its particularly snowy. 10 quid to change them over and another 10 quid to change them back though :( :p

you know you benefit from winter tyres when it is below 6 degrees even if there is no snow. really you should use them for 3-4 months of the year each year anyway. Not just for the 2-3 days of the snow.

Of course spring is incoming, but you should have got them fitted in November really to get the full benefits.

That is remarkable. Either you live in Buckingham Palace (or equivalent) or you're a very lazy man :D
He lives in a 2 bed terraced house in Bradford worth £60k, but his coffee machines are worth more*

*This may not be actually based on anything factual at all and I may have just made it all up!

Quality winter tyres, some of the cheap ones are worse than good Summers unfortunately, its not so clear cut. But yes quality winter rubber does work better than quality summers in very cold weather.

You'd be surprised how much terrace houses cost in Bradford now. Don't knock Bradford because those houses are made to last. The new ones suck.
