Hello, guys, I got a vw Passat estate b6 2006 ( I know old car). I want to replace rims. My current OEMs are scratched badly by the previous owner thus looking for a new pair as dont have the skill to refurbish them.

My current wheels:
Tyre 205/55R16 RIM: 6.5Jx16 ET42 5x112 BORE 57.1

I found Autec AP7016425073118 - 7Jx16 ET42 5x112 BORe 57.1

Does anyone come across this company 'Autec'? If so are they any good?
Also, would ones above fit my car? (Im asking as I can buy 4 super cheap locally)

Don't do it. Keep it original and get yours refurbed. Never heard of them but a quick google and they look very aftermarket.

Just seen this actually on hotukdeals. : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autec-AP7016425073118-7x16-5x112-Alloy/dp/B00BET4336/ref=sr_1_1?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1519942595&sr=1-1&refinements=p_6:A3P5ROKL5A1OLE,p_89:Autec,p_n_feature_seven_browse-bin:427324031,p_n_feature_four_browse-bin:429105031,p_n_feature_five_browse-bin:427088031

EDIT 2 : Oh, seen you commenting on the deal...
(Im asking as I can buy 4 super cheap locally)

Threw me when you said you could get them locally....

Autec makes decent wheels for the price, nothing wrong with them and many people run autec wizards on track cars. The tyre will be fine too, just make sure to declare it to your insurance.

Stick with OEMs unless your spending big money. OEM quality is almost always superior to the cheaper aftermarket alloys.

Thanks a lot guys. I haven't thought about insurance. If they are inferior quality, Im not going to bother with them. Out of curiosity I called my insurer and stated that I would like to fit aftermarket wheels and they quoted me 102 pounds per month with my No claim discount of 2 years. Yet Im 20, hence the insurance is so expensive. I don't think it's worth paying extra 12 pounds per month if the alloys only cost 100 pounds... I will reconsider when my insurance will be under 60 per month. Again thanks for you help
