OcUK HQ Motors Meet - Saturday 3rd March 2018

Gonna throw half this grit down tonight, then if in morning its white over again, throw other half down, the SVR is coming out to play. :)

Mac is still coming, but he is not bringing the yellow 800HP beast, but his other yellow beast and he might get his Mrs bring the V8 Range Rover down too. :)

A few of the M3 guys are still coming down too, some of them are smart and have winter tyres on. :D

Drives clear, mx5 still has it's snow blanket on but all the roads around hanley are now all clear. Just hope it doesn't decide to snow tonight like forecast.

Well at least advantage is its fresh stuff, just fingers crossed. :)

This is my lane, taken by a neighbor today. The issue is we had quite a bit of wind so we go from 1/2 inch of cover and an easy drive to around a corner to 3 feet drift. I got this bloody A4 bogged in on my drive for 30 mins and when I got out I had to drive across a field to get back....to which the farmer then got all annoyed. :D

As you can see if the fields were the roads, no problem!

Me stuck in said A4, you can see looks fine ahead, but 30 mins later when I got out, 30 yards further up another drift and gave up as it would not go.

New plan, meet at Houseys house :D

I could park 50-100 no problem :)

Joking aside I have thought about a Summer meet at the stately home next door, even spoke to the Lady of the Manor who said "no problem, should we roast a bore for your friends?". I love the landed gentry, they think different. :D

Nice :)

Despite the idiot drivers (see previous comments on certain thread) best efforts, the good ship Scania is back in port and WILL be attending after all. :)

Due to insurance liability and risk, I’m afraid your welcome to look in through the doors, but, our insurers have insisted nobody must climb up into the vehicle.

Tbh, I’m just pleased and relieved I’ve got back and can attend.

My other half may bring my e38 depending on weather, if she’s not up to driving it I’m not going to argue the point.

The R450 will be attending, my employer is even paying for me to get it cleaned at the local hand car wash because the yards truck wash is frozen.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow! :)

She’ll be a bit cleaner than this hopefully! :)

You bringing whole thing buddy or just the cab?
If you want the full effect, I can easily hook up a 13.6m trailer and bring that along whichever you prefer - it’s easier to slot into a line of vehicles without one though!

It does look at its best with a trailer I must say, I could park it at an angle in a corner.

Up to you mate, trailer or not, say the word. :)

If you bring just cab then you can park in main area with the cars. :)

If you bring the full deal then you will need to park it in the truck area which is off the main car park.

Your decision buddy, but I think it look better with the cars. :)

Cab it is then, I don’t want to be away from the party!

It’s an awful lot easier to park like that! :D

Watched the weather... Think ill stay home. will still be well below freezing when i need to leave... :(

Hope you reconsider Acme, my e38 will most likely be there - I know you wanted to see it - the main roads are fine, believe me, and you don’t need to risk side roads to reach OC/UK. :)

It's a long day Acme... No need to rush up. Take your time, it's on all day!

True, but its a 4 hour drive so I don't really want to rock up only for everyone to leave 20 minutes later. :p

Boot is also still full of E30 parts cos I haven't found homes for it all yet, and I haven't put my winter tyres back on. :(
