Steve Wright's Serious Jockin'

What the hell is this cancer radio and why is it still going on??? Every time I am making my way home on a Friday afternoon and think... "Hmmm maybe I give Radio 2 a chance" and have to listen to this **** face and his stupid show where the whole premise seems to be making a sentence ending with a word ending in 'ing' but then saying 'in' instead of 'ing'. Honestly, that is all there is to a BBC production of a show with many millions of listeners that has been going on for years and years? How has this happended? Why has this not been taken off the air?

And yes , thank you I know almost everyone is going to reply to this thread with a post containg lots of 'ing' words but using 'in' instead... Yes... Serious rantin'. Dont bother please! WTF?

Uncannily had the same experience today. Was getting out of the car trying to work out out what the hell was going on and why anyone could find it even remotely funny.

Thought I'd switched on smashie and nicey for a minute.

my car radio only really gets radio 2 . Vanessa feltz on a morning isnt much improvement on road noise but theres a guy on very early saturday that plays some awesome stuff and i like simon mayo ,especially that foodie thursday show

The only radio i listen to is LBC in the mornings, if that. I don't listen to music radio for a couple of decades now.

Absolutely. 6 Music is worth the licence fee alone.

Bingo.

So many great shows on 6, Gilles Peterson, Craig Charles, Steve Lamacq, Iggy Pop, Huey, Cerys, Guy Garvey, Tom Robinson.

The breakfast show is pants and Jarvis is annoying but otherwise, it's pretty much all I listen to.

I stopped listening to Radio 1 years back when he was on, he is still playing the same XXXX now, as unfortunately some times I have to endure his carp when I am on a site that
has another radio on, often resulting in a volume battle with my Makita DAB playing planet rock or when I can get it absolute classic rock.
This often upsets, I care not. Radio 2 is often called the builders favorite station, it is not,it is utter and complete XXXX.

I listen to Chris Evans on my way to work and Simon Mayo on the way back and like the quality of both shows. Never heard of this Steve Wright blokey though.

Shaun Keaveny and Rad Mac are my main listens, with Lauren Laverne, Huey and Cerys running them close. Not too keen on the Saturday afternoon/evening shows.

LBC is my commuting channel of choice. Debate and news. Lots of idiots phoning in whom I can shout at too.

I've been suckered into LBC too; pretty much listen to it daily from Ferrari to Dale intersected with Kisstory during exceptionally cringe-worthy calls. However, I do recall listening to Steve Wright in the afternoon 27 odd years ago when I worked at the Moulsham street branch of Software+!

Steve Wright in the afternoon is great. His factoids section is entertaining and he often has interesting celebrity guests. It's just a feel good show.

Hawksbee & Jacobs always worth a listen on Talksport and Nick Abbott is briiliant with his cynical and satirical humour on LBC at weekends.
