Electric blanket

I always thought I was man enough to not have one - then months ago Lidl had some on offer so got one - How I did without it I will never know - I count it in my short list of best buys.

We've got a silentnight one, I think it was about £30 for a king-size. It's so worthwhile in the winter but make sure you get a decent, padded mattress protector to go over it. Otherwise we could feel the heating wires through the sheets.

I use one when I’m up north as its much colder there. You can regulate the temp on either side as my gf likes it hot :D

We got an amazing lightweight duvet as a present, its goose or something and is super warm. I never fall asleep with the blanket on as the heat is unbearable.

I used to use one but could never manage to anchor it effectively to the mattress with the little tether strings, leading to it slipping off. These days if I'm cold I just double duvet.

Yep, I use it to blast the bed before I get in and then switch it off before I go to sleep.

If I fall asleep reading and forget to turn it off I wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat.

Make your own? connect it to the terminals to the Three Gorges damn, then trail some bare metal steel battleship anchor chains to the sheets. 22,500 MW of heat. Won't be cold!
