Vodafone Fibre contention problem

Everyday after 5pm until around 11pm my throughput drops dramatically. I sync at 70Mbps DOWN and 20 Mbps UP with around 15ms PING.

After 5pm I get 1.7Mbps DOWN and 10 Mbps UP and PING of 150ms. Logged a ticket with Vodafone who after 2 days say theres something wrong at my local Exchange. Everything points to contention.

My question is what can they do about it?

This isn't an Openreach problem - Vodafone need to buy more capacity at wherever the contention point is currently.

Probably a cable link issue and this needs upgraded. They probably cheaped out to begin with and only ordered a 1GB Cable link and now this needs upgraded to a 10GB link.

Mines exactly the same. I've had Vodaphone fibre since August and its been running at 60mb on average (10mb less than previous BT).
Over the last few weeks I've only been getting between 2 & 10mb in the evenings which is woeful. I've been looking at the Vodaphone forums and a lot of people are experiencing the exact same thing

Update: last Friday the Internet went down in the afternoon for around 1 hour. Since then its been back to normal, whatever it was they (BT or Vodafone) have fixed it. Not had an official work from Vodafone yet though.
