WhatsApp Setting up Group - cannot see all contacts?

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a WhatsApp Group for a number of work colleagues. However when I Create a new group and then start adding them by typing their names into the search bar, only about half of them come up to add to the group, despite every single one of them being in my contacts list?

Any ideas? iPhone 6 is the mobile handset I'm using.

Are you sure all of them are using WhatsApp?? As in they have it installed?? And are registered??

If they aren’t then that’s why they aren’t showing up. If they are then I don’t know.

I'm going with blocked. Whatsapp and work colleagues usually means someone will block that **** happening.

Yeah if someone at my work started a group then I would block them unless it was to my advantage to be in the group.

This, but also add, only my most trusted work colleagues have my mobile number.

Nah folks. Not a blocking issue. Put you in the picture, I'm a Watch Commander in the fire and rescue service and local coordinator for a motorcycle safety initiative running this summer. The WhatsApp group is made up of all our volunteer instructors who have forwarded me their mobile numbers. I'm setting up the group to afford us a means of communicating events, training dates and updates. :cool:

Had a similar thing but on my HTC. It had revoked permissions for whatsapp to access my contacts so only my existing recipients showed up.

This was on Android but does ios allow you to change permissions for apps?

Just being nosey, are you based at the fire station in Falkirk? My late grandmother lived in Ladysmill, behind the old fire station.

Back on track, have you tried using the web based or windows desktop app to create the group?

Hi m8,

In my 28 years service, I've worked in Falkirk but currently I'm based in Stirling. Lots of happy memories of the old Falkirk fire station, as you may know its no longer occupied by us, its' the SAS who run it now. I've managed to create the group now, there's only one straggler but I think it may be because she hasn't got WhatsApp installed.

You based in the Raploch then? Sorry, I meant Castleview lol! Knew about the SAS at the old Falkirk Station. Am ambo myself, been down here too long!

Most of my old man's annual motorbike mileage is done by me when I'm up visiting. Love going out to the Slamannan area and out to the Trossachs. I'm Clackmannan born and bred, just in case you were wondering... :cool:

Based at Stirling,yeah...on Raploch Road. Some nice roads up here, from Stirling to Tyndrum which is why I'm jacking up this Biker Down initiative in our area.
