[H]ardOCP: GeForce Partner Program Impacts Consumer Choice

coming from nvidia it's no surprise, from their past politics you could easily say what kind of company they would be in the futur if they have a close monolpoly.
now all they think about is to ensure it stays an (almost) monopoly, and make it as hard as possible for AMD to do a come back.
AMD cards will be harder to find overtime, units shipped will decrease, OEMS will squizze them out, etc..
you gonna soon enjoy further price gouging, and minimal performance increase per gen, the GPP will be the last thing Nvidia will do for gamers, as everything else tech wise will just fade away slowly, but im pretty sure the PR departement will keep fanboys, hyped up about insignificant stuff.

Just an observation: At the end of the article, A poll is presented asking readers if they would participate in an Nvidia/GPP partner boycott. Out of 1300 respondants, over 80% said they would.

Trek9.9sl quickly runs for cover:D

Ofc I would also. Gigabyte, MSI & Asus can go forth..... including motherboards. Because they won't be able to use the current branding on the AMD motherboards either. Asrock does some good products there. (same sapphire doesn't make mobos any more).

As soon as I am back from my hollies, my 1080ti Xtreme goes on sale and getting a Power Color Devil 64.
Had enough with the Nvidia crap drivers also and the lack of simple features, like the fps cap, that exist on AMD drivers since 2015.

This is exactly my position going forward, no more Gigabyte, Asus or MSI products going into any future build. I will buy ASRock motherboards and an AMD exclusive GPU partner.

For anyone on the greener side of the fence, I would say buy from an exclusive GeForce partner if you want to stay green, there are plenty of them.

True Zotac especially makes good products at good prices

You'll be back next gen when nVidia is kicking ass, you always are ;)

But yes, I'll be going with dedicated partners in the future, this is total BS.

I am not mate. Bought the TI before Vega came out, because both the Nano and FuryX were selling for twice as much than I bought them in 2016.

I have a freesync monitor also.

For ******** Raja pulled with Vega and CRUSHING COMPETITION i will never buy AMD gpu ever again. Rather pay more to NGreedia than those liers.

LOL Your fault for believing marketing. Both companies have told whoppers during their marketing campaigns. Buy a card based on reviews not marketing.

AsRock will be launching graphics cards too.

Thng is Ngreedia DELIVERS performance. Cant remember last time NV had performance slides that after lunch turned out TOTAL ********.

I buy cards based on top performance. Sadly been ages since AMD had TOP performance so they dont sell any hpu worth my time I had 290x.

Then admit you are buying based on performance not some fake moral principles.

And if Nvidia's GP program is as bad as some people believe then it will effectively kill off any competition in the GPU market.

Will be interesting to see what MSI actually does, I can't see them just sticking with the bog standard 'Armor' series for AMD; MSI's marketing of products is pretty good in my opinion.

MSI have launched 9 monitors all supporting Freesync, including two at CES 2018, so I very much doubt they will want their AMD lineup fading out into the wilderness, I reckon they'll diversify their marketing strategy of AMD products, AMD 'Dragon' series would sound more hotter (pardon the pun lol)! >> https://www.anandtech.com/show/1230...ed-va-panels-up-to-144-hz-refresh-and-rgb-led
