Hey everyone...

Im wondering which of these 2 is better for just gaming??
I keep hearing back and forth between the 2...
And it makes me some what regret?
Because i bough the 1500x which has been fine but i just looked online for 30€ more i could have went with the 1600 and have 2 more cores sigh :/
But then i hear the 1500x is better for just gaming and the 1600 would be better for rendering?
Anyways im confused which of these 2 is best for just gaming and nothing else?

If you aren't overclocking then the 1500X has the best single core performance out the box as it's higher clocked (XFR will boost it all the way to 3.9GHz). If you were overclocking then the 1600 is the sensible choice as you get 2 extra cores and 4 additional threads and both CPU's will top out around the same 3.8-4.0GHz mark depending on your luck with the silicon lottery.

I dont overclock reason being is im a temperature freak i want them as low as possible and 2 i want it to last a long as possible as well lol

So i made the better choice then?
Also my main game is world of warcraft this cpu is better performance stock then?

When i bought the 1500x it was 185 and 1600 was 229...
So

If you already have the 1500X then I wouldn't worry about it. Still a very good cpu, plus you have an upgrade path should you need it with AMD supporting the AM4 socket until 2020.

This video shows a comparison of an R5 1500X and R5 1600 with a few games at 1080p with a GTX 1080. Not that much difference really in fps.
