Imbeciles with no lights

Yeah I see a lot of cars which I'm sure would have auto lights but don't have them set to auto. I expect the same group of people also turn off AC/CC as well.

I find it happens more with vehicles where the dash lights up automatically and they assume their lights are on due to that.

The only time I ever forget is when the cars been into the garage, and they turn my lights from Auto to off.
The DRL's are bright as well, but as soon as you hit a main road you do tend to notice.

I'm staggered there's no rules dictating where and how bright the DRLs are on some cars can be.

There are so many cars where the indicators are barely visible as they are positioned right next to the super bright DLRs, or at least it certainly makes them harder to see.

Its a shame they don't remember to turn them back to auto.

It's really annoying when they change my dash from km to miles and don't put it back. They say they change it because "the MOT can't record in km" which I think is twoddle as I've have an MOT done in the past that just said "km" after the odo reading instead of "mi".

I think some garages do make notes of the things that customers have, and set them back.

Just depends how customer focused they are I think

They really should put the setting back to how they found them when they return it.

I guess, but it's probably the last thing on their mind after working on a car for a couple of hours or whatever. You'd hopefully notice when it gets dark and the headlights don't come on anyway.

If you go to a reputable garage they have check lists of things they do before they hand it back. If they can clean and hoover it then putting the lights to auto isn't a big stretch.

Not to mention indicators. It seems like 50% of people on the motorway don't indicate changing lanes any more, they just lurch out in front of people about to overtake them.

I barely see indicators anymore and when I do they indicate incorrectly. Running red lights seems to be a daily occurrence. People completely ignoring me on a roundabout when turning right (whilst I am actually indicating). Oh, and people who pull out along side at traffic lights to overtake me going into a merge lane - not sure which part of the V8 badge, 4 exhausts and Fast in my number plate that makes them think I am going to pull away slowly and drive well below the speed limit.

If you indicate, the car approaching guns it to close the gap. :p
Either that or they sit on your right so you can't pull out, then they match your speed and don't bother passing.

What is it with people slowing down to overtake these days? They travel at over the limit, then because a lorry going 55 is in the middle lane they slow to 56 to pass it, then speed back up after passing.

I think part of the problem is that some cars (mine for example) don't tell you the lights are on in your direct vision unless they're on full beam. And if people can't realise their lights aren't on, they're not going to check the switch to make sure.

I've got a mate who's favorite part of the day is sitting at 50 in the outside lane (on a 50 road) watching people get wound up. I expect he's not alone.

The worst I experience is on the A13 in Essex - the amount of people sitting in the outside lane at 60 - and I'm sure they all think it must be a 60 road, and that they are upholding the law by stopping people pass them.

We've got a single lane road a few miles long linking us to the next town. It's posted 50 all the way down it. The amount of people doing 25 with nothing in front of them.....
