I trying to find a replacement CAD Package preferably a bolt to autocad or intellicad so the learning curve is minimal. My Dad is currently using AutoCAD 2009 with bolt called Architect 2000 (or LT Architect) it has loads of predrawn blocks and can draw doors windows etc cavity walls break and tidy lines up. This software is discontinued and the last version of windows it will work on is 7 32bit. There doesn't seem to be anything out there that does this. Autodesk Architecture seems to have virtually no built in library at all, just a couple of basic doors and windows. I should post some pics of the menus to show examples ..

The only thing i can find is this www.cadsta.com/cadstaarch.html but it looks to be more for the Australian market.

He does use sketup pro occossiaonly but this is better suited to basic 3d models and not full blown Building Regs Plans

libreCAD might be worth a look, not sure how suitable for architecture it is but it is an opensource alternative to autocad

AutoCAD Architecture perhaps?

2009 is a very old version, they release a new one every year.

This is how the 2017 install options look for content packs:

I can't say how much is in there, but the AutoCAD verticals usually have decent libraries.

had already tried the trial of architecture, 2019 has just been released and its all now under AutoCAD with toolsets for different disciplines

Yep except Civil 3D which is baffling.

I assume it did not have enough content for your needs?
