14 year old daughter and 16 year old boyfriend.

Does he come across as a decent lad? And is your daughter sensible? If they spend time in her room, insist on a door open policy. Otherwise it may be worth a chat to her about the law and impress on them both that while you encourage him to come round no one has found her last boyfriends body yet.
 
There’s a 2 year age gap, of course it’s OK. It’s also OK for you to be protective, but at the same time if you push too hard you might make it worse!
 
the boy seems ok.he has a job.the thing is my sister had a baby at 14 same kinda circumstances.my daughter aint silly either.she is a boxer and quite aware of stuff.
 
It's probably not that bad but I always thought it was a bit strange having a younger gf at that age. I remember getting some stick for having a gf in the year below me and was only 9 months or so younger. 2 years at that age is a fairly big gap but I don't know. Case by case basis isn't it.

She might be aware of 'stuff' but I should think this weekend, you sit her down and have a long conversation about all aspects of 'stuff'.
Making very clear whatever lines you wish to draw. letting her ask any questions you have.
Better they are together in your house with doors open, than somewhere else with doors closed.
 
I think the same age gap at say 16 and 18 would be fine, but for some reason with her being 14 that makes it a bit different... you know exactly what 16 yr old lads will want to do having been one yourself

anyway "the rule" is half your age plus 7... so for a 16 yr old guy the lowest he should go is 15

Apologies.

On a serious note you need to have a few discussions if you haven’t already, picture messaging being one, a lad at my school ended up on the register for sending nudes to his GF just a year younger than him. He eventually got a job in a local takeaway and got hounded out by some guy on the local Facebook page denouncing him as a “nonce”.
