Hi everyone am new to the forum today :) so yesterday I bought Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming AMD B350 (Socket AM4) DDR4 ATX Motherboard of overclockers to start my new bulid been 7 years lol anyway I only play world of warcraft that's the only game I play on pc am looking for advice on a cpu and gpu as it's only world of warcraft i don't need a titan gpu or a threadripper cpu for wow what do you guys/gals think I should go for to run it as high as possible thank you in advance wullie

On the assumption you are playing at 1080p I'd go for something like this:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £647.05 (includes shipping: £11.10)

The Ryzen 5 will do you just as well as a Ryzen 7 when it comes to WoW.
You only need 8Gb Ram for Wow, 16GB would be a waste.
A GTX 1060 will do you nicely with everything at Ultra.
Highly recommend an SSD for your Windows install and WoW.

Obviously if your budget will allow, you can upgrade to higher performance components for some future proofing, but for now this sort of spec should thrash WoW without a sweat.

New Expansion - now taking advantage of Threads!

https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/137431

Intel® Core™ i7-4770 or
AMD FX™-8310 or better

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960 4GB or
AMD™ Radeon™ R9 280 or better

8 GB RAM

70GB available space SSD

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £495.06 (includes shipping: £11.10)

if you can push gtx 1060, then great

Thank you mate

And yeah, Google ryzen 160 Vs FX 8350 .. specially at 1080p any range of card.. pulls away nicely !

Might be nice to splash a bit of Night Hawk 8GB RGB ram to go with the Strix board ;)

Seeing now they are Ditching DX9 for other games , wondering how long it'll be till they drop DX9 support for WoW - this expansion seems to be a big push for graphics and coding updates

damn, rgb only for 16gb with 3000hz/3200hz + kits :(

SSD should cover you for windows- and future expansions for a little while

did you need a new case? if not- recommend looking at phanteks Halo RGB Fan covers :)

fans should plug in straight to the mobo :D

i think they now also do RGB COOLER!

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cool...-cooler-92mm-mam-g1cn-924pc-r1-hs-07q-cm.html

ryzen 1600 doesnt need a huge afermarket cooler to keep it cool to push past 4.7ghz OC but does look nice!
Yes one the reason I went for that case I've already got a cooler master cpu cooler

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cooler-master-master-air-rgb-ma610p-cpu-cooler-120mm-hs-07r-cm.html

Probaly a bit over kill but rgb for that awesome case

ah nice! should handle 2.8/9Ghz overclock of ryzen chips nicely and looking pretty! cant remember how many RGB headers the strix board has or if the case fans have Y connections on them to chain them up
