I'm trying to weigh up the options and want some help on this matter from fellow OcUK'ers.
So, my situation is, I & my girlfriend and saving up for a mortgage, so having two become one in a PC sense would get some extra dosh, even if it's just a bit.
Now, my PC is in my sig, it's a quad core i7 4870K @ 4.4GHz with a GTX1080 and 12GB ram.
My laptop is in my sig too.
What I'm thinking is consolidating any dosh between the two, putting some aside for mortgage and then looking at a desktop replacement better than current laptop with this sort of spec:
gtx1070 8gb, 16gb DDR4 ram, i7 7700HQ, 120Hz 17" display, 256GB NVMe HDD and 1TB HDD.
Faster ram, storage, CPU possibly?? Would this be better than my current system even with a GTX1080 in it? And based on priorities what would you do?
