Van drives into pedestrians in Germany

I only asked as seemingly some German press was reporting that police shot the driver, so it all still seems a bit confused in everyone's rush to be the first to report something/anything.

Yeah, thw standard scramble to report something isnt it and undoubtedly lots of different versions of the story coming through.

RIP to those victims. Tragic.

bizarre, I don't really understand the mentality if it was some suicidal/depressed person

at least with the van-of-peace style attacks there is some form of ideology (though obviously a rather perverse and twisted one) being followed

but a suicidal person taking people with him, like that pilot not so long ago presumably did too and a mother did recently in a car accident in the US, is very odd, most people who commit suicide do so without feeling the need to kill others

I guess though, given the sparse information (and often incorrect reporting in the aftermath of these sorts of events) we don't really know if this was a terror attack, suicide etc..

Depression doesnt preclude you from range anger or blaming somone else for your situation and suicide doesn't nessecerally indicate depression.

See pretty much every school or mass shooting for an example, they always end thier own lives before being taken in.

They can jist want to kill people but understand that they dont want to live with the consequences, prison sucks

They nearly always kill themselves.

Terrorists usualy die in the act by police hands though but again they wouldn't be taken alive.

Terrorists trying to survive is very pre 2001 when they where political terrorists who wanted to live in thier new world


Religious terrorists have no qualms about dying because they are waiting for thier paradise in the next world
