Handheld Vacuum Recommendation?

I have been meaning to pick one up for a while, I tend to use an old Henry when cleaning. It's a ball-ache with the wire. So being a lazy person...

Are they any good handheld models and with enough power and can (possibly being too ambitious) clean car mats - within reason?

Even a quick clean of the usual dashboard dust/crud would be a start. If the vacuum has nozzles to clean the annoying dirt trap between seat and door sills/transmission tunnel would be ace.

Many thanks in advance.

Isn’t that around £100? I was going to start a thread like this myself as I’m sick of dragging the Dyson out to my car but would not want to pay more than £50 for a handheld car vac.

Thing is none of them are really a replacement for a mains powered one. I bought one a few year ago but gave up using it, because it just errr...won't suck hard enough sometimes :D

We have a 32v Vax somthing or other and that has replaced our dyson mains about 90% of the time.

Well recommended and makes life so easy

edit, its a bit big and cumbersome for cleaning inside the car i would say it does have some different attachments i cant remember what though. Would do car mats ok

Yes they are. We've had the Dyson V6 for a while now and we'd never go back to a mains powered vacuum. It's just so much more convenient for cleaning the house, the car, anywhere and has more or just as much suction than any other mains one I've had (including older Dysons).

yeah wouldnt last long enough for a house. perfect for a car though. on max picked up smashed glass no problems. but on max doesnt last long at all.

You must have small houses as our battery Dysons never seem to last long enough

On normal mode the V10 can run for 60 minutes. However, max powah mode is done in 8 minutes! Being motors, I imagine most will run max powah!

What is this 'normal' you speak of? It has a light when you press turbo....a light FFS and we all need a light!!
