Parents looking to get their kitchen renewed....I've been duly tasked to assist i.e do it start to finish

Whats an easy to use 3d drawing program that i can use to show some visualisation to my parents?

Planning on using DIY kitchens and getting a good fitter in to do the fitting.

For an easy kitchen planner the IKEA one is pretty straightforward, just bash in the dimensions and you can figure out where to put what with standard cabinet sizes, will also give you a broken down list of whaw you've put in to get a comparable quote elsewhere... You don't need any previous knowledge or software skills...
Otherwise SketchUp is easy to use but will take significantly longer to build a convincing model

I found HomeStyler to be really good. It's free and you can navigate around in 3D and even generate raytraced 3D renders - all online. It was originally created by Autodesk.

E.g., I was playing around with the bathroom:

Speak to the experts and let them start off. I like to do everything myself and take control but they will be able to suggest configurations and layouts you will never think of. They also have experiencing planning to the millimetre. It occurred to me when going through the process with them that it's VERY easy to make a mistake which may have big implications.

Is their own planner not good enough for what you need?

It's not exactly hi res granted, but it was enough for me to get an idea of how ours will look when fitted. Should be arriving at the end of the month, got the order in while their sale was on :D

I just asked Wickes to come round and plan it. They did the plan and 3d render and printed it off for me along with their quote (which I didn't use.)
Gave the plans to Howdens (got a good deal through a mate) and they supplied the parts for my kitchen fitter.

Cant find diy kitchens planner. apparently it was in beta.

had a quote from a friends friend who does mereway kitchens. 30 units for approx 12.5k supply only. Not sure how reasonable that is.

how do mereway gloss units compare to diy kitchens gloss units??

I asked wickes...3 week wait for one of their designers to come round and measure. Will take the measurements in myself and see if they can do a plan for me.

I'm also planning a DIY Kitchens refurb. Went to Wickes would came and measured,m then put together a plan. It was shockingly bad. Lots of wasted space and where I suggested a pull out larder the designer almost laughed at me and said "It simply won't fit". Turns out it will and will negate their stupid corner fitted, bespoke unit. Oh and Wickes wanted £8.5K for the units alone, whilst DIYK can do it all for £3K.

Anyway, back on point. I'm using Opun Planner, which seems fairly easy to use.

This is the kitchen i am trying to design for. It is 556cm long and 303cm wide. Currently it is u shaped design, with a breakfast table at the end where the doors are.
Looking to change it around and have a full length worktop running down one end of the room.
