A road in Cardiff City

Not the best picture in the world. But based on what you can see here. Would you (as someone who isn't familiar with the area) hesitate to turn left at the lights?

One other thing worth noting. Is that the bus lane visibly ends. At the rear end of the BMW.

I'm guessing the OP has got fined?

Yes.

I received a letter from a Enterprise a few days ago. They've charged me a £35. And have told me to expect a fine from Cardiff within the next week or so.

Basically I turned left at those set of lights. The road markings actually invite you to turn left. Not sure what makes them think they can get away with this..

The no left turn sign looks like it applies to the traffic going straight. Ie don't go straight over in the busy lane then left. I can't work out why there are two traffic lights to the left of it when one would suffice. I'd probably take my chances and drive down it.

You could probably contest it and say the signage is unclear.

Maybe the guys over at pepipoo could help compose a letter?

The bus lane appears to end (though there is then a warning for bus lane cameras), the left turn then looks to be No Vehicles Except for Access

This is true.

Usually I would expect to see a sign on the lights. Basically telling drivers that turning left isn't allowed.... Or at least not ending the bus lane at the turning.

Shows a no vehicular traffic sign for the left lane - so no, no I wouldn't.

Its the 'except for access' that is the issue, were you visiting people or businesses on the road or using it as a cut through?

The issue I have is that I'm potentially being finded for going into a bus lane. There are no explicit signs. Saying that private vehicles should not turn down that road.

Now had the bus lane extended all the way into the corner. I highly doubt I wouldvew turned left.

It cant be for the bus lane, if it is you should appeal due to bad signage. It says end of bus lane before you get to the lights.

As I said earlier. It's clearly a set up by the council to confuse people and generate income. There's one in most towns now.

There is no way you'd notice that in the car, especially if it's a low one.

The bus lane clearly ends (there's a sign saying end of bus lane!) and an arrow inviting you to turn left. That junction is shocking.

Have you requested photo evidence?
