Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on this...

I sold a switch game on said auction site for £25 and despite offering free postage ,buyer opened a dispute when he didn't get it 4 days after buying. This is despite it saying 3-4 working days postage and the 4th day being a Saturday. He received it on the Monday but out of spite, won't close the dispute for some reason. The man is literally the pettiest man I've ever dealt with. He says he will, and I quote, "Close it when I'm good and ready".

I told him my 14 years of good feedback and No negatives should have at least let him message me instead of opening a dispute but you just can't talk to him

Anyways , he has the game but won't release the funds and my PayPal is in the red. I could pay into it but he's wound me up so much it's point of principal now. I know it's nothing really but the childish "nah nah nah nah nah" behaviour from him has me wanting to settle it .

Where do I stand here given that they side with the seller?

Call ebay and they will sort it. If they can see its been received by him, they can close it from their end or remove the red mark off your feedback.

Believe it or not, ebay can be very helpful if you actually call them to explain.

Update.

He's just messaged to say he won't release the funds because I sent it 2nd class instead of 1st class and even though I paid for postage , I owe him 32p before he will do it.

Just call eBay mate, my girlfriend sells a lot and she just calls up with any problems like others have said. How can he complain about the speed of postage when he hasn't even paid for postage? Mental.

With that sort of petty behaviour he would be getting signed up to every crap catalogue mailing list I could find.

What postage option did you display? Regardless of that how can you owe him 32p from postage he has not paid for?

Just tell him and eBay what I always tell them, its an estimated delivery date.

eBay will close the case if you provide them the tracking number on the phone.

You’ve met an R-sole, the world is full of them, if it erks you enough to post on here I’d at least get on to mailing lists etc :p
