Worth the upgrade?

Hey guys,

my birthday in four weeks time..im wondering if getting a 7700K and 16gb 3000MHz RAM is worth the upgrade..

Coming from... i5 7500 and 16gb 2133MHz..

Also would get a good cooler for OCing if I decide to go down that route in the future..

Yes mate, its mainly for web-browsing, music and gaming!

if the computer is for gaming, upgrade the graphics card - will see better gains that way, unless you're already using a 1080ti

Im currently on a 1070, would a 1080/1080ti not be bottle necked by my setup though?
 
@rip-the-jacker depends on what games you play
1080ti may be bottlenecked, but 1080 less so.

tbh, with a 7500 + 1070, that's still a really good computer, i don't see why anything needs to be "upgraded", unless you want to. of course
 
thanks for the reply mate, yeah, think i will stick, its just i change my computer parts more than underwear :D

Will leave as is I think..for now :)

Funny you should say that, i like my keyboard, but my mouse..(a corsair harpoon) im not confident with and was considering going back to a SS Rival 100 mouse..
