I have not built a PC is a very long time so was wondering what would be the best options at the moment.

So far I have the following

Windows install
GPU
PSU
Monitor
Keyboard and Mouse

And will need the following

CPU + cooler
Motherboard
HDD\SSD
case
RAM

Its going to be for my son to play a few games on, the games will include all of the Lego games, Garden warfare 1 + 2 and also the Roblox games.

ress will be at 1080P, nothing higher and the budget will be around £200 maybe more if its worth it.

Any suggestions would be welcomed, did think about the second hand market but would prefer to get new for warranty purposes etc.

thanks a lot!

I currently have a Radeon HD 5830 1GB with a 450W Corsair modular PSU.

I upgraded my main PC to a Nitro 390 8GB and got the above card going spare.

Your looking in at the wrong time for low prices in the computer world right now my friend

and even though those games aren't demanding I would still think you be playing on low/medium getting with just 1gb gpu

you'll be looking second hand

below overshoots but has reasons to do so . tammz build above is another good shout but as you can see, your going to go over

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £364.60 (includes shipping: £11.70)

ryzen board should last a good few years 5/6 , ability to overclock above chip and others as well . A320 would be a cheaper board but limits yourself in the future and cpu and be upgraded easily in 3 years time - so system will grow with your son .
nice case that can handle ATX in the future and not look dated in 10 years time .
decent PSU and SSD to house OS- get a second hand HDD and wipe it

Just get the ryzen APU, either one should be plenty.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £341.05 (includes shipping: £11.10)

If you want brand new and updates tech, but well over budget, the intel from tamz be your best bet.

However on the used market for £200 you be able to find a 6 core FX or mostly an i5 system of some kind with a decent gpu etc and aside from the the ssd whether it’s included or not, sometimes they have crappy power supplies just to sell, these systems would be better than what you have/can have.
