Hmm and what a surprise, it is the women/young girls who are sent out in front of the cameras... the men are again rather camera shy for obvious reasons.

He does have a point though.
If we remove the dead scumbag, the scumbags family and threats that we have been told have been made by some Travelers, then putting flowers up where somebody died is a very common thing to do.
Somebody got killed on the A50 near to me this morning in a Police car chase and there are flowers there already - it happens.
Perhaps somebody should mediate between the two community's and ask how long they would like their flowers up for and let it blow over.
He didn't die there. He died miles away in a hospital.
Well removing the fact that we're talking about a violent group, who have allegedly made death threats against at least two people so far; also that they're martyring a guy who was fatally injured there whilst committing a violent robbery...

But I really don't see your point. You've taken out all the things that make this situation a very different one from memorialising law-abiding folks who died at a particular place. Also as pointed out he didn't die there anyhow.
Add to this the alleged 1000 travellers march through the area... It's pointless to try to find commonality with other incidents involving normal people. These scumbags don't think like normal people and they don't operate like normal people.

I'm just catching up on this story today so I might be missing something, I also know next to nothing about travellers.
A traveller attempted to rob a guys house and was killed, the travellers came to put up some flowers for the guy killed and the locals didn't like it and tore them down. Rinse and repeat a few times.
The owner of the house is currently in a safe house and looking to sell the property.
How does it escalate from that to mounted police patrolling!?

The mounted police were patrolling fairly early on, for obvious reasons, it didn't escalate to that point...

And the reason that these innocent victims are currently in a safe house and having to sell the house that they've worked their entire lives to retire in peace to? Well that's because the scummy ****** think it's perfectly normal behaviour to issue death threats to the victims of their crimes, because they know the police are too scared to ever do anything about it. People are getting sick and tired of this scum being treated as if the laws of the land don't apply to them.
Yup and nothing will be done about it because racism or profiling or other bull reasons like that.
IMHO scum like this and their families should have their banks frozen, and any benefits stopped. Instill a harsh reality, if you break the law, your family will suffer the consequences.
You've got to wonder where the apparent 100k for the funeral is coming from... wonder how many of the pensioners the family ripped off over the years got their money back. Wonder if the authorities used their new powers to seize the proceeds of crime from the Vincent family - presumably not if seemingly otherwise unemployed people can suddenly start splashing cash like that.

I like you Foxy, you seem like a stand-up guy, but you may, just may, be affording the pikies more sympathy than they deserve.
Although whoever died in the A50 crash presumably had done something wrong, as per the Police pursuit, their friends and family laying floral tributes seems somehow not as outrageous as the ***** tributes in Hither Green.
Colour me vindictive, but I can’t see being mealy mouthed, and asking the scum how long they want their tributes left there, as a good idea, but that’s just my take on it.
And unfortunately there’s nothing that they can do about it, for whatever mysterious reasons, as those who could, and should be doing something about it, will turn myopic at the sight of a bunch of scofflaw ******.
I seriously doubt that crew have bank accounts, someone, (HMRC) might ask where the money comes from.

It does make me laugh that the family/friends talk about respecting their feelings and the grief they have suffered. Which is fair to a degree to be honest, however they seem to have no regard for the feelings of everyone else involved on the other side.
Yep, can you imagine the police response if somebody had found out where Thompson or Vennables lived and put up memorials for James Bulger outside his house....
(I believe Vennables is inside at present, but I dare say when he is released he will get another new identity, safe house and police protection, Is Mr Osborn-Brooks going to get a new identity, safe house and lifelong protection from the Police and the courts. Of course not, he is only a victim...)
