Idle Silence + Storage

I want to watercool an overclocked high end CPU and overclocked GPU perhaps even SLI.

I want idle silence and preferably high load silence, but not a deal breaker

I want at least four internal storage 'drives' - at least SSD speed.

- Operating System
- Games
- Lightroom Catalog
- Imported RAW for processing

I was looking at the Thermaltake Tower 900, putting two of the biggest rads on either side it will fit. Is that enough to get idle silence?

Sice I'm sticking the whole thing under my desk... and I actually I'm not sure if I even want to add illumination (since it'll just produce ambient light for movies). So it's not exactly going to be a show case PC when I'm done..

Maybe I should consider a different case?

Desk height 70cm.

Probably need to be a bit more specific. A 4790k or 8700k is top end of desktop, but will only kick out 100-150W. Or a Threadripper or i9 might produce much more.

But ultimately more radiator space = quieter or cooler.

Depends what comes out by the time I finish it.

Currently have [email protected] and overclocked titan X pascal being cooled by a 240 rad, that's not quiet. But it does the job and I wear headphones to game. But when idle it interrupts film nights :)

I would consider threadripper 2, ryzen 2, 8700k, intel 8/16 cpu.

So maybe at least 2 x quad rads - hopefully should keep things quiet..

No that certainly won't be quiet. But quadrupling your rad space will probably sort it! JayzTwoCents has a quad and a triple I think, for SLI cards and overclocked CPU.
