Need SSD & RAM recommendation

So, I'm looking to get a new SSD & upgrade my memory, my current specs below;

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (overclocked to 4.0 GHz)
Gigabyte Z87-HD3 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150)
Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' PSU
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1080
Windows 7 Ultimate 64

Any particular RAM you guys would suggest? My motherboard doesn't support DDR4 so I'd be after 16gb (2X8gb) or perhaps 32gb (2X16gb) DDR3 depending on recommendations for future proofing, baring in mind I'll probably build a new system in a few years so pondering whether 32 is worth it~

I'm also wanting to get a new SSD due to needing more space, I currently only have a 250gb SSD (Samsung 840), I'd like to stick to the Samsung line of SSD's but unsure which one to go for. I do want whatever is the best price/performance however and would like 1TB storage.

As to the "worth it" of memory re: 16/32gb, I mostly use my pc for gaming at 1440p though often while doing so have a bunch of other things open (skype, discord, multiple browsers) and am possibly either streaming or recording via obs studio.

I say I'll probably upgrade in a few years but really that comes down to when I feel the need to upgrade to a combination of 4k res, nvme ssd, ddr4 ram and new gen cpu - so probably quite some time into the future

Lastly, when it comes to installing RAM would it just be the case of taking my current sticks out and installing the new ones or would I have to set timings etc in bios? Note that while my cpu is overclocked the memory is running at stock

Crucial 1TB MX500. They are excellent and can be had for around £203 if you shop around.

As for memory you would be better just adding some more. So you want as close as you can get to the original Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3

The closest is the Kingston Savage 8GB Kit*(2x4GB) - DDR3 1600MHz Intel XMP CL9 DIMM HX316C9SRK2/8 which will cost you about £65.

The memory you just need to slot it in the spare slots.

this too

not quite this.
reason being that DDR3 is now deadend tech and obsolete. just grab a 2nd hand set off MM/ebay/gumtree and be done with it.
as long as you're not gunning for monster overclocks, most ram nowadays will play nice with each other, even if mismatched.
of course unless you care about aesthetics, then fair enough.

Hmm well, done some looking around and found the Samsung 1TB 860 Evo for £250, would that be a good choice?

As for the ram I always thought that running two sticks was ideal - is that not the case? As for second hand I don't want to do that and want to be 100% sure whatever memory I'd buy would be compatible with my current ram if I don't end up purchasing 2x8GB

agree on the MX500

When I got my CL parts, I had a MX500 in my basket for a while, almost pulled the trigger but held off due to current SSD prices and that I already own a fair few SSDs.

But in terms of overall customer feedback, reviews, price per gig etc. the MX500 is a great buy.
