World Snooker Championship 2018

8-4 to Carter now.

I'm just hoping Ronnie can pull back the last 4 frames tonight so that tomorrow we'll have a real match to watch for their final session.

I was hoping Carter would be able to finish him off tonight. But it looks like Ronnie got the last one before the mid-session interval. Missed it as I was making tea.

Well played Ronnie ! Reduced the deficit to 9-7. Final session tomorrow should be epic :)

Can see Ronnie going out tbh since Carter only needs one frame to win. Chances are that if Carter doesn't win the first frame tomorrow, he'll likely win the second. BUT, I know how great Ronnie is and I hope it gets to 9-9 and then a final frame shootout.

First to 13 in this round.

lol. Seriously, how can you not know that? It's constantly being displayed on the screen throughout the match.
I must say I didn't know either, I thought Hawkins was home and dry when he got to 10 frames against Lyu, I was a bit non-plussed when the
ref racked up for another frame.

I admit I hadn't been very observant and not recently looked at the middle number in brackets. :o I noticed it this morning watching Wilson v Jones.

Yeah, definitely a bit of needle there from Ronnie with what looked like an intentional shove to Ali as they walked past each other.

From Twitter

SCENES! Ronnie O'Sullivan & Ali Carter bang shoulders into each other, then words are exchanged. Ronnie "Thought I'd give you one back" Ali "Thank you" Ronnie "S'alright!" Paul Collier tries to restore order. Ronnie "Yeah I'm cool. Cool as a cucumber" @snookerbacker @ColinMurray

Its funny looking at twitter comments all seemingly blaming carter for the shove when its obvious it was o'sullivan that bumped into carter.

Be interesting to see if this match ends with a handshake and to see whats said in the interviews afterwards. Carter in the past has made no secret of the fact that snooker seems to be the "Ronnie O'Sullivan" show when he's at tournaments with the spotlight being solely on him for the most part. Have to agree it does get boring with the commentators constantly fawning over him.
