Only just seen the result as i’m travelling. Gutted I missed the match. Always liked Williams. Didn’t think i’d see him win another. Congrats.

I think one thing we can take away from this final is that Mark and John have joined the likes of Ronnie in showing that 40-something professionals can produce top drawer snooker over long matches. A vast majority of this final was cut throat break building, going for big pots rather than safety, miss while you are in and expect the other to make a frame winning break.
