I just think it's more of a challenge in wilder weather and therefore more exciting

I think it's the best time battling against the worst elements the weather can throw at you, it also motivates you to cycle faster so you can get home quicker, cycling on warm sunny clear days is just "meh"
Try cycling on 22 mm tyres in 6 inches of snow and let us know how you get one

No but there is a constant layer of slop and wet clay this time of year and the roads are just suicidal with the standard of driving.Yeah because there's a constant layer of 6inch+ snow through the whole of winter in the UK...
Have to laugh at these fake cyclists with their trainers too scared to venture outside on their bike for half the year
