What PC games are you playing?

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom pain. I never played any of the MGS games before and picked this up at Xmas however after playing the Ground Zeroes 'demo' that came with it, I though it was a bit meh and didn't bother with the main game until this week. Actually really enjoying the main game now though and what an intro that was!

Darwinia. It's maybe 12 years since I last played this game and it's addictive as ever. Still Introversion's best title if you ask me although I haven't played Prison Architect.

Whilst I didn't try the DLC myself, once I had completed the main campaign there were still lots of side quests to do however after trying one or two I quickly lost interest in the absence of the cool story to follow. I can't remember exactly what the DLCs offer now but I remember not feeling compelled to pick them up...

I've done exactly the same, completed the main campaign and now rapidly lost interest, the DLC has mixed reviews & I can't buy it for reasonable price, in fact it's more than I paid for the main game so I've uninstalled it for now.

Now playing Enemy front, a 2014 WW2 game which cost me around £5 yesterday, on release it had some mixed reviews for bugs but I guess it's patched up now as it seems flawless. It's like a mixture of Battlefield, Call of Duty & Sniper type games where you are shooting evil Nazis in various locations.

Gameplay is quite good actually and the only negative I can give it is there is no quicksave and if you die you have to go back to the previous auto checkpoint which might have been 10 minutes or more ago.

One level in an old church tower drove me insane with deaths from snipers up in the old buildings across the square and there was no sniper rifle available for the player to use for this particular part.
The one saving grace was the checkpoint for this one was just one minute back to the action so I returned over & over and got all their locations and one by one I took them out with great care out so although it was annoying as hell it was most satisfying to finally beat them.

This is my absolute pet hate in gaming. It's fine for old skool type game like Cuphead where there is a pattern to be learnt and the action is identical each time, but for all other types of game, absolutely not. FFS give us a quick save option or put some thought in to your checkpoints!!

The Witcher 1. Jeez, what a slog fest. I'm missing the horse from number 3. Right now, I'm muddling through chapter 2 which by all accounts is the worst part of the game. Need to push on and get through it...

I've gone back to Far Cry 2 and Bad Company 2 to try and recapture that essence i felt when i played those two games, as my gaming has been lacklustre for many years.

Bad company 2 is still brilliant.

Have been playing a few games: BF1, Titanfall 2, crysis 3.

I've just finished crysis and now moved onto crysis 2. I normally have a few games installed at any given time. I'm midway through command and conquer generals and forgot what a good simple rts game it is. Also slowing working my way through battle for middle earth.

I'm gonna start a new game on the forest to as it's out of early access and it's been about a year since I last played it.

Not long back to having a PC - only really playing Fortnite at the moment, but do have CS:GO which I've played once or twice installed as well. Fortnite's a lot of fun, play it on PS4 mostly but interesting on PC. A lot easier to kill anyway!

After losing my original save, I've decided to play Dying Light again. Really fun game once you've unlocked the grappling hook.

The original Mafia. Watching a stream a few weeks back, the soundtrack, 30's cars and story just really appealed. I missed out on a few games during the mid 00's because my PC at the time would have never cut the mustard. Loving it so far. Not a huge fan of scripted games, but the missions are good fun. I was going to purchase the original disk version, until learning it has StarForce which then in turn, requires a crack. To avoid the faff, plumped for a download version, only to then learn that the music (through license expiration) has been removed! Fortunately, easily fixed (thankfully) as its a major part of the game.
