Hi there

I thought as many of are now doing several meets a year at Santa Pod and enjoying some RWYB fun and friendly banter, why not have a leader board.

For those interested in going to a Santa Pod RWYB event, here is the Pod timetable:
http://www.rwyb.co.uk/dates.php

The best events are the Saturday night specials, as the day is longer you find if you get there early its extremely quiet until around 11am and then becomes quiet again around 4pm, sometimes it gets busier in evening or even quieter, so those who want to do a lot of experimenting with different car settings, tyre pressures, launch technique these are a good day, but I advice having 1/4 - 1/2 tank fuel for such a long day as you can pretty much get around ten runs or more if weather is OK.

On a normal day 1/8 - 1/4 tank of fuel is sufficient and expect 4-8 runs depending on how busy it is and weather conditions.

All you need to attend is money, helmet (110mph plus terminals), driving license and of course a car or bike, does not have to be road legal so can arrive on a trailer.

So let me start the table:

An example run:

In order for a time to be entered onto the spreadsheet, only a Pod timetable slip shall be accepted, here is an example of a slip:

Get posting your slips guys and I can update the table, also anyone else feel free to create the spreadsheet or better and update it, though I shall try to keep it updated regular. :)

Surely 4WD cars should have their own league considering the advantage they have (some call it cheating ;))...?

:D

I would suggest each person has 2 rows, and see who improves most over the year :) Or each person sets themselves a target, and see who get closest to it.

Unsurprising to see a GTR up there, especially a modified one. Last one I saw at pod finished a good bit ahead of a 650S. Granted the McLaren driver was absolutely shocking though :p

What always strikes me at pod is how little is actually between the high end cars these days.

7 years ago and in an estate - but still a half decent time!

Mereceds E55 estate - 566bhp / 2000kgs (approx)

mods - remap and secondary cats removed

I've cut 60fts as fast as the GTR has.

He just has the raw power to keep it going

Isn't that my point though? If you had enough power to keep it going you'd struggle to launch where as the 4WD does all the work.

Anyway, my comment was firmly tongue-in-cheek :p

TomO that seems good for a 2 tonne car with 566 BHP ! :D

I think estate means more weight over rear wheels for easier launches, would have been slightly quicker but the standard chargecooler setup heatsoaks very quickly and is retarding ignition after a few seconds of full throttle ( I had a laptop datalogging on a vmax day to confirm)

Oh absolutey, if I had another 150-200BHP I'd certainly match the trap speeds but I'd have spent the first 1/8th mile blowing the tyres off
