Looking for Second Hand Car recommendations (£3k Budget) please

The slightly newer shape civic is probably going to be a good compromise for you.

I had the FN2 for a while with a young baby and tbh it was a pain - could definitely have lived with it but as discussed earlier if you were to go with it be careful on the kind of seat you buy and make sure you don't try and lift the baby in and out whilst doubled over, it will kill your back.

The boot is big for the class, they're very reliable (especially the 1.8), rear space is good however the doors are quite small so make sure you aren't going to be trying to lump a massive car seat in and out all the time.

You need to check really thoroughly for rust at the roof and pillars and buy one with some proper history.

Yes I didnt realise the Volvo was only a 1.6 I would imagine it would be slow. It looks nice in the flesh.

I'd save my money, you won't be going anywhere anyways, you'll be too tired from being up all night changing and nursing the baby.

Thanks for the link mate but all that has already been bought. And Im looking for something with a little more power ;-)

Wait and see if you can manage with the 3 door before messing around selling and buying.

I've settled for a 3dr mk5 golf and can get my 6 and 3 year old in and out ok with that, lots of space when the seat slides forwards.

I've also done family holidays to the south coast in my old 5dr mk5 golf, boot rammed, 2 kids seats in the back, luggage around them. Easy :)

Wait and see if you even need it.
