THE SANTA POD LEAGUE FOR OcUK FORUM MEMBERS ONLY

Actually a used 2016 GTR would be around 60k so not much in it and stock for stock the SVR is quicker.

Albeit a new list price SVR with options is north of 120k but I paid 80k and very happy with it as it’s an amazing car and your not going to get a rarer car, without spending over 150k. Plus in the spec mine is in they are holding value rather well with key spec been colour and all the carbon stuff and big wing. :)
Though right now no plans to sell or change and if values start shooting up I will keep it for a long time.

I was referring to new prices.

Is the SVR quicker around a track when both are standard?

I was referring to new prices.

GTR has generally always been a bargain compared to other cars for the raw performance it offers, but the cars in our spreadsheet are stage 4 mapped which makes a difference. Don’t think we’ve seen a stock one run but think Kindai was doing around 11.7s on a stage 2 map which is where you’d expect the new model to be as a stock 2016 GTR has more power than a 2009 one as Nissan have opened the taps more over the years.

Though saying that if we’re talking value for money should have just thrown another 5k at my 20k Golf R and had a mid ten second car.

Yeah, it's only a £20k difference. Peanuts :D

A "non-entry" for my C6 RS6 (not done Santa Pod in it). Taken when it was 740hp taken using a 10hz GPS tracker (same accuracy as VBox etc) - You can see how it struggles off the line due to the Torque Converter Autobox (can't raise the revs to launch) but once it got going - WOOOO! Looking at my C5 results (SP vs Phone) I'd add about 0.5 sec to the 1/4 time and lose 5mph if it was done at SP.

60ft: 1.92
1/8 ET: 7.27
1/8 MPH: 98.0
1/4 ET: 11.14
1/4 MPH: 127.0

Hi there

I thought as many of are now doing several meets a year at Santa Pod and enjoying some RWYB fun and friendly banter, why not have a leader board.

For those interested in going to a Santa Pod RWYB event, here is the Pod timetable:
http://www.rwyb.co.uk/dates.php

The best events are the Saturday night specials, as the day is longer you find if you get there early its extremely quiet until around 11am and then becomes quiet again around 4pm, sometimes it gets busier in evening or even quieter, so those who want to do a lot of experimenting with different car settings, tyre pressures, launch technique these are a good day, but I advice having 1/4 - 1/2 tank fuel for such a long day as you can pretty much get around ten runs or more if weather is OK.

On a normal day 1/8 - 1/4 tank of fuel is sufficient and expect 4-8 runs depending on how busy it is and weather conditions.

All you need to attend is money, helmet (110mph plus terminals), driving license and of course a car or bike, does not have to be road legal so can arrive on a trailer.

So let me start the table:

Get posting your slips guys and I can update the table, also anyone else feel free to create the spreadsheet or better and update it, though I shall try to keep it updated regular. :)

Bikes dont count!

I'd just like to bring sirs attention to the highlighted part in the opening post from the right honourable Gibbo :p
