16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200MHz

So, building a new Ryzen system (2600X on a X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming) and was wondering if this memory would be a good fit.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

1 x Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMR16GX4M2C32= £218.99

I've always liked Corsair ram and the Vengeance series in particular. There's obviously a premium for the RGB lighting but I would trust it to be a solid choice.

However I have read that the current top brands are 8 Pack and G.Skill because they are tested and binned by hand. G.Skill have rgb ram too.

I'm sure memory compatibility is improved with x470 motherboards but in my experience no that ram will most probably not be a good fit.

I had Corsair Vengeance ram 3200MHz which could only run at 3066MHz and eventually after about 6 months even that proved unstable so I eventually sold it.

Definitely buy Samsung B-die ram.

Either the 8 Pack Team group stuff or the Samsung B-die Gskill stuff.

That's all I would buy for my self.

Doesn't the Corsair ram have a lifetime warranty? Why not return it rather than sell it?

I didn't know that. The point is it wasn't faulty. It just would not run at it's rated speed on Ryzen.

I did have it for a year.
