Intention to prosecute for speeding (37mph in a 30 zone)

Ha brilliant.

OP deserves the points. Hope he doesn’t get let off.

If someone runs out at 30mph you stop
Same at 35mph and you hit them at 11mph.

I'm one of the annoying people who slow down before and speed up after the signs, though I'm clearly in a minority judging by the number of people who tailgate me when approaching limit changes :p

Yep, same. I was a bit shocked recently on a trip with friends we moaned about a slow person on a 60 limit country road but as I was exciting a 30 limit in a village (could see the national limit sign), they said why am I still at 30 and don't speed up... Well it's still a 30 zone! Apparently I was in the minority for that decision. :D

Drives me nuts when people decide to drive slower than the limit until they enter a 30 and then almost speed up. And I'm the same with speed limits, Even Have the cars satnav to beep if i drive over the limit :D

If you're doing 50mph then you'll have passed them before they step out :p

Before hitting a row full of nuns stepping out GTA style.

Unlucky OP.

As your first offence, I'd advise you pay the extra £10 or so & take the points - don't waste 5hrs of your life with the speed awareness course. You always have the option of doing it if you get caught again & approach the 'danger zone', but your driving record suggests this is very unlikely.

Also, consider using Waze & reporting such active enforcement for the benefit of the rest of us ;)

you were in a 30 mph zone, the police car was in a 30 zone, and he was using a hand held device not a camera van, as so it was targeting at your car to monitor your speed through the 30 zone, and you hit 37 mph (in a 30) so your were speeding, end of

the speed check is the only assistance thing i left enabled on my dashcam.

i dont have speed check on my Thinkware F770, but i have enabled camera warnings (fixed and mobile hot spot zones)
I also have one on my TomTom Sat Nav and they dont always let me know on the same road, can be one or the other, so not reliable
