So, Literally out of the blue, not problems with the phone in enarly 2 years, even the battery was in good nick

Took it out of my pocket and was wierdly off, anyway, started it, screen started sideway (which is odd) then phone retarted, worked fine for about 2 minutes, then turned off, then ended up in a bootloop for about 20 minutes.

Worked again for about 10 minutes, then turned off and has now been in a bootloop for about an hour.

Apparently it can happen on this phone.

Basically its dead. Apparently on the SDA forums there is a fix, however you need to get in to your phone to enable OEM unlocking, which at the moment I cant do. So unless my phone boots, its toast.

Damn.

This was a nice phone also, was hoping it would last a few more years at least.

:(

Isn't this a common problem with this phone?

Yes, apparently, but I didnt know until recently. As I have had it just under 2 years there could potentially be a warranty, however at Christmas I smashed the screen the replaced with a 3rd party screen, so no doubt that'll void that.

I suppose it still worth a try? I'm sure some one has posted said they got it covered under warranty even though it had a screen change.

Yeah suppose I could give it a go. I do like the phone, shame, seems looking at reviews - this failure is an almost certain to get you at some point. Cant believe in this day and age things like this happen. Only other thing is then if they do send a replacement I guess you are still sitting on a time bomb. I've emailed them anyway, worth a go I suppose.

Result! - went back through amazon, went on their live chat, they are going to give me a full refund I just gotta send it back.

A much better option than trying to go through LG, plus I doubt amazon are even going to look at it, just open the box and see - yes thats a phone, and refund.

Also might be a little cheeky and hang on to the charger, given that the original LG charger the phone came with is damn good, I am guessing they will probably still issue the refund without it, they did say I didn't need to have the original box so....

You don't have to send any accessories, the phone alone is fine.
