£750 Budget - Gaming Spec

lol, it gets as high as 26 FPS with the 4K High Quality settings in The Witcher 3

These reviews are very often not representative of actual gaming experience.
I, for one, very, exceptionally rarely play ANY game at maximum settings.

Thanks again for the advise folks, really appreciated!

Still torn between the 2 but my decision will be made soon. Also, the PSU... Corsair TX550M Gold? Found one at a good price but what's your verdicts?

deals normally change around 12pm wednesdays so keep an eye out for any deal changes, board wont change, dont think CPU will, ram always swap around deals and GPUs come and go

Corsair TX550M Gold go for around £70

formula 450w which is all you need is £60 on here , then add in delivers etc

The only components i need now is the GPU and PSU but I can buy a Corsair TX-550M for £58.99 Inc delivery?

Buy it at that price. It's a decent gold rated unit with 516w on the single 12v rail. It has a 7 year warranty too. It's only semi modular but the fixed cables are ones that you will be using anyway so not a problem.

I just downloaded the manual and cable lengths are as follows:-

ATX 24 Pin 610mm
EPS 8 Pin 650mm
PCI-e 6+2 pin 750mm
Sata power leads 4 connectors spread over 800mm
Peripheral power lead (molex) 4 connectors spread over 750mm

Fantastic...again i really appreciate the help!

I've just ordered it and should be delivered tomorrow.

Just had notification from OcUK my CPU, mobo and memory will be here soon!

Just the GPU left...

pro's and cons for both - though they both run great to be fair, just a shame their prices are still up high!

also when you put together your parts, just leave everything to default in bios and get windows installed- running and updated to April edition , then you can enable XMP and play around :D

Looking forward to the build it's been a long time!

Should I update the bios before installing the OS?

I really hope it boots up first time because I don't have any other hardware lying about to update bios, etc?

if you've gone for ryzen 1600 - should just drop right in and go - some update the bios first thing other do it afterwards . I tend to do it afterwards but do check to see which Bios version its on when it first boots up .

just want to get everything installed before I flash and with my luck, brick boards haha

I'll follow your advice and update for further instructions on OCing.

I've just looked at my budget and £280 for the GPU, I might be able to increase it if a bargain pops up!

to be honest, dont think a gtx 1070 will drop to £280 :(

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £855.97 (includes shipping: £0.00)

We could all but wish for that.

I'm still torn between the 2 but noticed some reviews leaning towards the 1060.

How are the drivers for the RX/Nvidia cards lately?

nvidia still the same as always, amd much much improved, differen beast all together .

actually prefer to use amd drivers now but both can have their issues - again not helping you :D

Are the drivers suitable for TV's as I'm aware they ain't monitors?

It's a tough choice... 6GB or 8GB of VRAM? They both fair well in game tests.
