I've got a few half-full tubs of Ronseal in my garage that I want to get rid of. I don't want to use it because it's the wrong color. Neighbours don't use that color either.

The tub says take it to a local disposal place, but none of them accept it so that won't work.

Would regular paint hardener stuff work? or is there something else that would harden it? or any other suggestions for how to get rid of this stuff?

Leave it outside your home with a big note.

FREE..

Somebody would take it i recon. The would up here in Yorkshire.

Yorkshire mans dream, owt for nowt !

Surprised the local disposal centre won't take it, Freecycle is a good shout though, or the allotment idea is a great one.

I'd ring the council and ask them where to dispose of it properly, especially if somebody at the tip said they wouldn't take it.

Wife asked the bin man how to dispose of a used can of paint, he told her to chuck it in the general waste as the local tip did not take it!
