Morgan Freeman accused of sexual harassment

Back then? Check the date on the first listed accusation against Freeman the article. Oh those halcyon days of the mid 2010's when you could go around lifting skirts and asking if women were wearing underwear, I miss them so much!

I don't like the feeding frenzy, I don't like trial by media, but if people have acted inappropriately they should be held to account in some form.

Fair enough, I didn't actually read the article and just jumped to conclusions.

He has released a statement
"Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy.

"I apologise to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected - that was never my intent."

They definitely sound like the words of someone who has done nothing wrong......

I read the article and to me it sounds like he was just flirting a little. Not liked he pinned some lady in the corner and tried to stick his tongue down her throat. That's sexual harassment. Commenting on a ladies body most likely in a complementary way, is just flirting. I'm calling this looking for a pay day !

I call crap on this, out of the blue, 18 women decide that they been sexual harassed by him, they in it for the money.

They didn't just randomly band together and come out with these allegations, it was a CNN investigation where they reached out to people who've worked with him.

It's a pretty common pattern where a small number of people speak up, this encourages others who've faced similar situations to also come forward and say they've been subject to inappropriate behaviour. It's not uncommon for people to think that it only happened to them, and then when allegations surface, they join the conversation. You've got to factor in the fact that it's usually against a powerful person who has the power to make it go away very quietly, the more people come out with their stories the harder it is for it to be brushed under the rug and the stronger the case against the accuser. iirc this (trying to pay off women to keep quiet) happened in both the Cosby and Weinstein cases.

The BBC said that he made a comment to ask a woman to give him a twirl...depending on how it was asked it could be harmless. You could say to someone "I really like that dress on you, give us a twirl" in a harmless way, or it could be "Give us a twirl so I can get off on it later", which is totally different.

Like others have said, how do 18 women suddenly come forward at the same time all towards one person? Surely with the whole MeToo campaign everything about everyone would (should) just come out at once?

Got to love the media again.

Should physically not be allowed to post stuff like this until it's in court

Morgan free man-organ. Oh yeah.

Funny how a new round of accusations crops up every time there's a lull in the news. Uncanny. Almost like it's orchestrated by the media.

the thing is where do you draw the line.the time and when things happen must be relevant.80s were different to the 90s as is now. somethings you would say naturally are now not allowed or basically reported or frowned apon.yet in the time it was said it would have been normal jest or flirtation.he could be the most dirty perv ever or he could just be a victim of the times.just shows you that if someone wants to do this you are screwed.especially if you have money or obviously you guilty as a man crawling through 100 yards of ****

I am a security guard and when we have to kick women out of clubs the first thing they say is.... touch me and i will get you for sexual harassment
we say go for it and say we warned you and kick them out...i cannot tell you how many times we have had to explain to the police whats gone off and then the women find out we did nothing wrong

This day and age it is getting pathetic times have changed for women for the better but in many cases they take it too far
