Cold gin poured over ice is colder than warm gin poured over ice, isn't it?

All gin bars I drink in have the selection on the counter behind the bar. None of it is chilled. Its not "Warm" its at ambient room temperature. I think people are being way too fussy here.

what is everyones fancination with warm gin on here ?

You want your gin at room temperature so that it will take up flavour from your lime/lemon/whatever. Add the slice to the gin. Wait. Add lots of ice. Wait. Add tonic.

Thats how I do it, tonic from the fridge, room temp gin and ice. I add frozen raspberrys to some gins
