Games you feel everyone should play

What are your best gaming experiences which you believe everyone should experience?


Mine are:

1. Breath of the wild
Beautiful, calm, tranquil, encourages exploration like no other game, screams attention to detail and perfects all the small nuances of open world games

2. Mario Odyssey
Nintendo shot it out of the park with this beauty, its just beautiful level design combined with best in class platforming with ridiculous charm.

3. Dark Souls
Such a beautiful, frustrating and emotional experience

4. Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky/SC, Cold Steel 1/2
A beautiful set of games which all tell absolutely beautiful well crafted stories, specficially trails in the sky. Best IN CLASS storytelling.

5. Fire Emblem Awakening/Conquest
Phenomenal yet accessible modern tactical RPG where your characters aren't just disposable bland sets of stats (aka XCOM)

6. The Last of Us
Takes cinematic video games to a new level.

7. Tomb Raider 2013
I really really liked this remake and felts its far more balanced and well paced than its rival Uncharted.

I'm currently playing a game called Hob and it is absolutely fantastic. It's a kind of old school Zelda type game. And it looks absolutely incredible.
 
I'm going through one of those phases where I feel bored of gaming. Taking a break right now, but this thread should be handy for when I'm ready to jump back in!

Got TLOU Remastered to play through and Battlefront 2 to finish on PS4.

Played through it recently for the first time on XB1X. Couldn't get through it back when it launched but this time I mainlined the story stuff and managed to see the credit.

Visually it's fine on xb1x as it's been patched for 4k resolution, it's just the mission variety that really shows it's age. Each mission is basically a variant on ride out somewhere, get attacked, return home :D

Great writing and story though but the middle is a bit of a slog, it was then and it still is now :)

Uncharted series.

Metal gear solid 1 is probably my all time favourite game. Such great story telling and great gameplay.
