Always recommend you have a few different types of payment mechanism available (I.e. try to keep an Mastercard / VISA and AMEX available).

Yea yea, I've worked it out, I am just trying to inject a little light hearted banter into the debate.

Cash isn't impractical either, its just easier with a card, less hassle and surprise surprise, I get that too.

Got declined in H&M and Smyths earlier, thought it was a problem with my card until I phoned my bank.

And this is why I always carry both a mastercard and a visa with me!

Bit of a weird one this. Contactless was declined but chip-and-pin worked no probs (same card).
