Visa flopping ffs

Ahhh, woman in front of me in co-op had her card declined and had to pay cash, cashier was a bit flummoxed as it was taking ages to reject it. This'll explain it then, although mine worked no probs.

We were out for drinks and loads of places stopped taking card altogether. I assume they thought their machines were down rather than just visa. I didn't see this until I got home.

Ahh interesting seeing this, i was trying to pay at a petrol station earlier and it took 3 tries to get my visa card to work :/ crypto is the way forward :p

I'm glad I wasn't at work today. It must have been a lot of hassle for my coworkers.

Ugh. My Apple Music subscription has just failed to renew.

Sooooo annoying.

Hmm...I wonder if I have any regular payments linked to my card rather than via direct debit. I think not, but maybe I should check. Or not - I doubt if the outage will last very long.

It's a bit worrying that Visa don't know what the problem is. It's bad enough that the whole thing could fail at all, but it's worse that they don't know the cause. Unknown vulnerabilities in financial systems are not a good thing.

Another reason to an ever growing list of why blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are the future when it comes to people being able to spend their money on goods/services

"Yes sir, we're just awaiting authentication of your Electroneum transaction. You should be able to pick up your Big Mac on the 7th July".....

Yeah I had this earlier then it worked... thankfully. Or i'd have nothing to eat.

This makes me laugh, the system goes down and people claim they wouldn't be able to eat or some other life changing thing if they couldn't get payments to go through.

Bugger off, utter stupidity. I'm sure you can last a day without making any transactions with some plastic. I'm sure you're able to get to a flippin bank and get some cash out. Grow up.
