New cpu/mb & Ram (2700x)

Hi Guys My son need a upgrade on his cpu hes got my old 3570K and Its on its last legs.

So Im thinking of giving him my 6700K Build and ill upgrade.

Im Mainly gaming on the pc.

I was keeping my eye on the incomming i7 8086K

Let me know what you think.

What resolution do you play at?
 
Im Running at 2560x1440 and G Sync

overclock the ryzen 2700 manually to save cash , specially if you've got an AIO

intel - though personally would wait for z390 and i* *9**k 8 core chip - will leave the the sense of longing with its it going to be named i7 or i9 and beginning number :p

should run 3800hz no problem on the strix board if our after the ROG/Strix branding :)

Cheers. I wasnt even looking to upgrade yet. But makes sense to upgrade mine as the i7 6700k will have a good few years left in her. And dont think he can wait till Q4 if thats when the new intel is due out.

above if your going to pass on your one to him... though nothing wrong with yours, specially if your hitting 4.7ghz on the 6700k :D

tight spot as his CPU is still good. would say intel 8400 or ryzen 1600 but more a slight shuffle .

so, Q3 - on road maps - current ones
