New cpu/mb & Ram (2700x)

Hi Guys My son need a upgrade on his cpu hes got my old 3570K and Its on its last legs.

So Im thinking of giving him my 6700K Build and ill upgrade.

Im Mainly gaming on the pc.

I was keeping my eye on the incomming i7 8086K

Let me know what you think.

The thread below suggests running that Ram at 3200MHz CL14.

I take it you have an AIO to reuse ? If not then you won't need the bracket. Also don't forget you will need some new Thermal paste/cleaner etc if you are.

Yep thinking of reusing AIO (not sure yet)and still got some thermal grizzly paste somewhere. Just wish the ram was cheaper.

overclock the ryzen 2700 manually to save cash , specially if you've got an AIO

Cheers. I wasnt even looking to upgrade yet. But makes sense to upgrade mine as the i7 6700k will have a good few years left in her. And dont think he can wait till Q4 if thats when the new intel is due out.

above if your going to pass on your one to him... though nothing wrong with yours, specially if your hitting 4.7ghz on the 6700k

tight spot as his CPU is still good. would say intel 8400 or ryzen 1600 but more a slight shuffle .
