Confused about which bios update I need.

Do I just need the last one? The last two appear to be from the same date. I currently have update 1707 from 2013.

One is the file, the other is the file and updater.

Ya, I figured that out now, thanks. I'm still too scared to update it though lol.

Don't update the BIOS unless you really need to.

Absolutely agree with this. Unless you have a specific problem then never upgrade the BIOS. It can go wrong and if it does you can brick your motherboard. These days it's very safe, but I still hear occasional stories of it going wrong.

Yeah, mine went into a 30 minute boot loop after flashing. It currently displays the version number of the one I tried to flash, but has none of the promised features and performs worse than the previous version re memory speed. Something is screwed up somewhere but I'm too scared to try again
